Ensure heat exchanger is clean (as per manufacturers instructions)
Boiler will be gas rated to ensure it's using the right amount of gas
Flue gas analysis will be carried out to ensure the flame is burning correctly and efficiently
Boiler will be checked for leaks and corrosion
Expansion vessels will be checked and re-pressured as required
To ensure boiler is safe to use
Boiler will be checked to ensure it's not leaking carbon monoxide (CO), this will ensure you and your family's safety. The boiler and gas installation will be checked to ensure no gas leaks.
To prevent costly repairs
If leaks are found early usually no damage is done, if left, especially condense leaks this will damage the boiler, often damaging the boiler severely where is it deemed beyond economical repair resulting in replacement costs.
Important to understand that not all breakdowns can be foreseen and prevented however regular boiler servicing and preventative maintenance can save you in potential and unexpected repair bills.
To prolong boiler life
Finding leaks early, ensuring clean and efficient operation will prolong the life of your boiler which in turn will save you £'s on unplanned boiler replacement costs, instead letting you spend your money on the things you enjoy.
To ensure warranty is not void
New boilers all come with a warranty, some as long as 18 years! To keep the warranty valid an annual service is essential, if not carried out by a trained and registered engineer the boiler manufacturer can and will void the warranty leaving you to pay for any required fixes from any boiler faults experienced.
